cgrossChuck Gross is Director of Administration for St. Charles County Government assuming that position June, 2007. Chuck is the principal managerial aide to the County Executive and advises him of all administrative matters.   His duties include supervision of the day to day operation of 18 departments and the services provided to the County's 350,000+ residents.

Chuck was previously Vice President of Business Development of UMB Bank.  His responsibilities included developing/strengthening commercial, private banking and trust relationships primarily with St. Charles County.  Chuck also served in the Missouri Senate from 2001 to May, 2007.  Chuck was first elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in November, 1992.  He was re-elected in 1994, 1996 and 1998.

Chuck is a 1976 graduate of St. Charles High School and a 1981 graduate of University of Missouri-Columbia where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration.  In 1982, he received his Masters of Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Chuck was a licensed real estate appraiser and owned a small appraisal firm in St. Charles.  He serves on the Alumni Advisory Board for the Harry S. Truman School of Public Affairs, Community and Children's Resource Board and the St. Charles Chamber Board.  He has also served on boards of Youth In Need, The Child Center, The Foundry Arts Centre, St. Louis Crisis Nursery, UMB Bank Advisory Board, Emmaus Homes President's Circle and the Lewis and Clark Discovery Advisory Board.

He is listed in Who's Who in America from 1996 to the present, and is the recipient of numerous awards including the Lewis and Clark Statesman Award from the RCGA, the "Heroes" Award from the Crider Center for Mental Health, the Missouri Christian Coalition Award for his work in the legislature and the Legacy Award from Community Living.

Chuck was born on August 20, 1958, in St. Charles, Missouri.  He is married to Leslie Ann (Goralczyk) Gross.  They have two daughters, Megan and Madelynn.
